Generate ideas regarding promotion mix components. (20 points)

a. We are primarily grading your creativity on this mini-project so use your experience, reading, and brainstorming to come up with as many ideas as you can about promotion tactics related to packaging/branding, sales promotion, PR, personal selling, and advertising.

b. You must provide a minimum of 50 distinct promotion tactics of which there must be a minimum of 5 ideas for each component. That means, of course, that you will have more ideas for some components than others. Keep in mind that having 50 ideas is just the minimum for getting a passing score. Groups that want a good score will provide many more ideas (like 70-90).

c. Provide an estimate of the cost of each tactic. These do not have to be precise to the dollar but can approximate figures. These estimates will need to be more precise once you write the final paper that goes to the client (MP4).

d. Unless an idea is totally original we expect you to cite where you got the idea as well as where you got your cost estimates. For example, ideas might come from an article you read and costs estimates could come from a website you visited.

e. A couple of extra points are possible to earn if many extra ideas are provided and/or a great deal of creativity is shown, e.g., sketches of logos, draft radio commercials.

f. Turn MP3 into us in the same folder you should have used for MP1 and MP2. The folder should include not only MP3 but also the group sheet (with contact info) as well as MP1 and MP2 (the ones which were graded and have our comments written on them.) If these things are not in the folder then points may be deducted from your score.

g. If you would like to see some projects that were submitted in previous semesters, look under Course Content in Blackboard.
